Job Description

The Milford Public School District is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Talent Management and Development. As a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet, the Director of Talent Management and Development of Milford Public Schools serves as a strategic executive leader responsible for driving the lifecycle of human capital for a dynamic public school district of approximately 1,300 certified and non-certified employees. This role shifts human resources from a traditional administrative function to a proactive talent ecosystem. The Director will design, lead, and execute modern strategies for equitable recruitment, data-driven retention, continuous professional development, labor relations, employee benefits administration, and employee well-being, ensuring the district attracts and retains top-tier talent to support student success.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Human Resources or Talent Management experience, with at least 5 years in a dedicated supervisory or executive leadership role.
  • Candidates holding a valid Connecticut Intermediate Administrator or Supervisor Certificate (092) are encouraged to apply.
Preferred:
Prior leadership experience within a public school district, municipality, or large-scale organization managing a unionized workforce.
    Preferred:
    Direct experience managing employee benefits administration and executing cross-departmental position control workflows. Compensation
    • Starting salary range: $160,000 - $170,000 and/or commensurate with experience. Start Date
    • September 14, 2026, or as close to that date as practical.
