•JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resource Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for various HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and fostering a positive work environment. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Administration :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files Process employee data, including new hires, terminations, and benefits changes Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as neededBenefits Administration:
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations Communicate benefits information to employees and provide support with benefits-related inquiriesCommunication and Training:
Communicate HR policies, procedures, and updates to employees and managementEmployee Relations:
Provide guidance and support to employees on company policies, procedures, and benefits Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns in a fair and timely manner Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retentionRecruitment and Hiring:
Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation and I9s. Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure compliance with company hiring policies and proceduresCompliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsREQUIRED SKILLS
At least 3 years of working in HR Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Proficient in HR software and systems, including HRIS and benefits administration platforms Proficient in Microsoft 365 platforms. (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)SKILLS PREFERRED
Strong analytical skills Ability to build power-point presentationsEXPERIENCE REQUIRED 3-5
years of experience in human resources or a related field, required.EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Experience working in a shipyard or manufacturing environment with skilled trades, preferred.EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.EDUCATION PREFERRED
Certifications:
