We specialize in short-stay rehabilitation and long-term care, and we are proud to be a deficiency-free facility. of Madison! As a Payroll Director at Madison, you will oversee all employee compensation, benefits, and timekeeping. You will also be responsible for overseeing payroll staff. Their duties include hiring and training Payroll Specialists, coordinating with the finance and HR departments to process payroll for new employees or monitor payroll schedules and managing employee benefits and insurance plans. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing Timekeeping Oversee bi-weekly or weekly payroll processing, verifying timesheets against the facility's time and attendance systems. Calculate shift differentials, overtime, bonuses, and weekend/holiday premiums unique to healthcare environments. Ensure strict adherence to Department of Labor (DOL) laws, FLSA, and specific Florida labor regulations. Comply with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) background screening and employment regulations for facility staff. HR Department Collaboration Partner closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Human Resources to track nursing hours, mitigate compliance risks, and verify licensure before processing payroll.
Qualifications Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or Human Resources preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a strong asset.
Experience:
Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare setting. Knowledge is preferred.
