Category Human Resources Position Type Regular Full-Time Overview The Area People Services (Human Resources) Manager is responsible to manage the development, implementation, and administration of People Services functions, including recruitment, training and development, benefits administration, employee relations, and employment law compliance. In this role, you will support the area director to manage the day-to-day operations of the People Services department. You will execute strategies that serve to attract, retain, and develop diverse premiere talent. Responsibilities Provides general People Services support as the department resource and manages the day-to-day operations with a heavy focus on recruitment and employee relations. Complies and maintains complete knowledge of all company policies & procedures. Proficient in all human resources functions, state, and federal regulations. Leads the recruitment process including posting open positions on job site boards, using an applicant tracking system and arranging/participating in career fairs, conducts background and reference checks. Handles the onboarding of new hires and is responsible for the daily administration of team member files in the HRIS (data entry). Maintains data entry of new hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions in HRIS. Monitor and maintain Leave of Absence programs to include leave entitlement and FMLA administration. Answer questions regarding 401K Plan, vacation, and other ancillary benefits. Assists with team member room rate program & premise pass requests. Responsible for benefits administration including monthly billing reconciliation of property premium report, assisting with the enrollment process and termination of coverage. Assist with Performance Management and ensures evaluations are completed on time. Partner with area director to organize/execute team member functions including NHO, trainings, meetings, recognition events, engagement surveys, open enrollment, etc. Provide guidance to leadership team in coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions. Utilize an "open door" policy to address employee problems or concerns in a timely manner and handles confidential team member investigations. Performs periodic audits of employee files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Prepares for annual internal/external audits. Ensures compliance with all people services legal requirements. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of people services files and records. Responds to unemployment claims. Participates with Safety Committee. Attends all hotel-required meetings and training. Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by management Qualifications Minimum of 5-7 years of professional management experience in People Services required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources. PHR or SPHR Certification is a plus. Experience and working knowledge of hotel business required. Computer competency with Microsoft Office products including experience withATS & HRIS.
iCIMS and UKG knowledge is a plus.
