Job Description

Veterinary Healthcare Associates, Inc is hiring a Human Resources Manager in Winter Haven, FL. This is a full-time position. Veterinary Healthcare Associates (VHA) is seeking an experienced, people-centered Human Resources Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of HR operations across our growing veterinary healthcare organization. Reporting to the Chief Humanity Officer (CHO), the HR Manager will translate VHAs people and culture strategy into consistent, effective HR practices. This role will independently manage day-to-day HR operations while partnering with the CHO on strategic, complex, and high-risk matters. The HR Manager will also provide guidance and professional development to our People & Process Manager, helping build a collaborative HR team that is accessible, knowledgeable, responsive, and trusted. Lead day-to-day HR operations across a complex, 24/7 healthcare environment. Manage employee relations, workplace concerns, investigations, corrective action, and performance matters. Coach leaders through employee relations, performance management, conflict, and difficult conversations. Administer and support
FMLA, ADA
accommodations, workers' compensation, benefits, and other employee leave. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee status changes, HR documentation, and offboarding. Maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records and ensure consistent HR processes. Support performance evaluations, professional development, and compensation processes. Maintain compliance with federal, Florida, and applicable employment laws and HR best practices. Identify trends, compliance risks, and workforce concerns and appropriately escalate complex or high-risk matters. Develop and improve HR policies, workflows, documentation, and processes as VHA grows. Mentor and support the professional development of our People & Process Manager. Partner closely with the CHO and organizational leaders to strengthen culture, employee experience, retention, and accountability.
