We are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to support our Dalton operations and partner closely with employees and leadership across the business. Position Summary The HR Manager will oversee day-to-day human resources activities for the Dalton location, serving as a trusted resource for employees and managers while supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, training, and overall HR operations. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys being visible, approachable, and closely connected to both employees and leadership. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR partner for employees and leaders at the Dalton location. Provide guidance and support related to employee relations, performance management, coaching, corrective action, and workplace concerns. Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition and business leaders. Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, personnel changes, and related HR documentation. Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational needs, employee engagement, and retention. Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment practices. Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company requirements. Assist with employee training, development, and HR-related communications. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation. Support leave, attendance, benefits, and other employee-related matters in coordination with appropriate internal partners. Build strong relationships across Operations, Production, leadership, and other support functions. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, communication, and the overall employee experience. Perform additional HR responsibilities and special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, preferably within manufacturing, distribution, operations, or a similar hands-on environment. Prior HR leadership or HR Manager experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, recruiting, HR compliance, and general HR practices. Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations preferred. Strong communication, judgment, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Comfortable working independently while partnering closely with business and HR leadership. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Work Environment & Travel This is an onsite role based in Dalton, Georgia. The HR Manager will regularly interact with employees and leaders in both office and operational environments. Some local travel to Challenger distribution sites and other nearby company locations may be required based on business needs.
