2026 POSITION IMPACT ProCo LLC is a management services organization supporting five healthcare service lines, including AICA Orthopedics — Atlanta's premier orthopedic and surgical group operating 21 clinics and 3 surgery centers across metro Atlanta with 400+ team members. The Senior HR Manager steps into a functioning HR operation and makes it excellent. Paylocity has been in place for over two years. Core processes exist. What this role brings is consistency, compliance rigor, and the steady operational hand needed to stabilize systems, close documentation gaps, and build the repeatable infrastructure that a growing multi-site healthcare organization requires. You will own day-to-day HR execution across compliance, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, policy governance, and payroll coordination. You will also have direct access to outside legal counsel and a small but growing HR team to lead. This is a hands-on operator position — not a strategy or executive coaching role. The right person is energized by bringing order to complexity, comfortable owning the function, and takes satisfaction in getting the details right.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Compliance & Employment Law Administer FMLA, ADA, and workplace accommodations across all locations Manage unemployment claims, EEOC coordination, and agency response Coordinate workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes Own termination compliance, documentation, and separation processing Maintain I-9 records, conduct audits, and manage HR documentation governance Coordinate with General Counsel on employment matters and legal support Ensure regulatory compliance including OSHA recordkeeping and required postings Benefits Administration Own day-to-day benefits administration — carrier relationships, plan management, employee inquiries Lead open enrollment planning and execution in partnership with external benefits advisor Manage benefits vendor relationships and annual renewals Ensure ACA compliance and benefits-related regulatory reporting HR Operations & Systems Assess, stabilize, and optimize Paylocity configuration and workflows Own HRIS data integrity — auditing existing records and establishing governance standards Develop and maintain HR SOPs and process documentation Coordinate payroll processing with Finance, ensuring accuracy and clean data flow Manage employee lifecycle transactions: onboarding, status changes, separations Own the employee handbook — maintenance, updates, and distribution Produce compliance reports and support internal and external audits Employee Relations Advise managers on performance management, documentation, and corrective action Support disciplinary processes and ensure documentation consistency Conduct or support workplace investigations in coordination with General Counsel Serve as a trusted, discreet resource for employees and managers navigating HR matters Team & Function Leadership Supervise and develop the HR Generalist with a focus on compliance and benefits cross-training Collaborate with the Director of Talent Acquisition on onboarding handoffs and workforce data Represent the HR function in leadership discussions and cross-functional planning
QUALIFICATIONS
Required 7-10+ years of progressive HR experience with strong operational depth Healthcare, ambulatory care, or multi-site clinical operations experience Hands-on experience with FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and leave administration Benefits administration experience including open enrollment and carrier management Employee relations experience — PIPs, corrective action, investigations, separations Strong HRIS proficiency; Paylocity experience strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to assess and improve HR systems and processes in a multi-location environment Strong documentation habits and attention to compliance detail Georgia employment law familiarity Preferred Experience stepping into an existing HR function and improving it — not just maintaining the status quo PHR or SPHR certification Experience supervising or developing junior HR staff Familiarity with ACA reporting, OSHA recordkeeping, and I-9 compliance
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
This role is the right fit if you... Can walk into an existing system, assess it honestly, and improve it without drama Stay calm when compliance situations get complicated — you've seen most of it before Take pride in the details that others overlook: documentation, deadlines, data integrity Can build trust with both frontline employees and senior leadership simultaneously Are comfortable being the HR expert in the room and owning the function independently This role is not the right fit if you are primarily motivated by strategy, executive coaching, or organizational design. Those functions will grow here — but right now, this organization needs a strong operator who can stabilize and scale what already exists. REWARDS Up to $130,000 base salary commensurate with experience Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision PTO and paid holidays Direct access to senior leadership and meaningful influence over how HR matures The satisfaction of leaving a function measurably better than you found it
