Job Description

The Workforce Development Manager leads YWCA Oʻahu's workforce development and volunteer engagement efforts while managing the operational and volunteer components of the organization's social enterprise activities. The position creates structured opportunities for participants and volunteers to build skills, gain practical experience, strengthen employability, and contribute to YWCA Oʻahu's mission. The Manager connects workforce development, volunteer engagement, donated goods, social enterprise, and earned revenue through ShopYWCA, Benefit Sales, donation processing, product development, pop-ups, and other assigned Economic Advancement activities as platforms for work-based learning and community engagement. The Workforce Development Manager works closely with the Product Development/Pua Lei Design Studio team. Workforce Development leads volunteer engagement, staffing, scheduling, supervision, and work-based learning; Product Development leads product and merchandise development. The teams collaborate on merchandise planning, inventory, merchandising, sales strategy, customer experience, and achievement of earned-revenue goals.
