Description:
Join the Iowa State University Foundation in its charge to advance Iowa State University through philanthropy, helping thousands reach new levels of greatness. The Iowa State University Foundation is seeking outgoing, enthusiastic, hard-working, goal-oriented individuals to join our annual and special gifts team.
Requirements:
As a member of the annual and special gifts team (ASG), this position will utilize best practices to engage and solicit current and prospective donors through digital channels. The associate director will provide strategic oversight of digital fundraising platforms and programming including crowdfunding and day of giving events. Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the creation and execution of internally and externally driven crowdfunding campaigns. This includes leading application and project approval processes, executing technical and advertising/marketing training sessions, helping to develop multi-channel outreach and solicitation opportunities, monitoring and assessing project progress, and more. Partner with teammates to lead day of giving efforts, which includes developing and executing solicitation and stewardship strategies, developing timelines, recruiting giving day ambassadors, communicating with internal and external partners to develop and execute strategies in alignment with day of giving goals. Strategically develop collaboration opportunities with campus partners connected to efforts like day of giving and crowdfunding campaigns. Collaborate with colleagues to align social media with content and segmentation strategies in annual and special gifts solicitations. Build, coordinate, and execute internal communication plans to ensure organizational awareness and participation around solicitation and engagement opportunities. Analyze campaign and project performance to identify successes, areas for improvement, and future strategy adjustments. Partner with internal teams to leverage constituent and engagement data to develop targeted audience segmentation strategies and outreach plans and to identify new reporting needs to track efficiency of strategies and progress towards team goals. Qualifications Education & Work Experience Bachelor's degree or appropriate related years of experience. 2-3 years of professional experience related to employment area. Desired Skills & Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable, flexible, and self-directed. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software. Must be able to handle several activities simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and accuracy. Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
