Our client is a $1B+ multi-location organization looking for a Director of People & Culture who believes the best way to build a high-performing business is to build exceptional leaders first. The Director of People & Culture will serve as the architect of the organization's people strategy—shaping how talent is attracted, selected, onboarded, developed, engaged, and retained. This opportunity is built for a leader who can sit across the table from senior executives and challenge their thinking, then spend time in the field building credibility with employees and managers in small-town, rural communities. What You'll Own You'll lead the strategy behind the organization's talent and leadership lifecycle, including: Building leadership development programs for frontline, mid-level, and senior leaders Coaching managers and executives on communication, accountability, team health, performance, and change Creating stronger succession planning and talent-review processes Identifying high-potential employees and building meaningful development plans Strengthening recruiting and selection practices for critical positions Improving how leaders assess talent and make hiring decisions Building scalable onboarding and employee development practices Developing deeper leadership benches across locations Strengthening organizational health, trust, alignment, accountability, and healthy conflict Supporting growth, acquisitions, integrations, and leadership transitions from a people perspective Translating organizational values into practical, observable leadership behaviors What They're Looking For You should bring: Significant HR, People, Talent, Organizational Development, or related leadership experience Proven success in leadership and people development Experience creating or improving talent management, succession, assessment, and development programs Experience utilizing people-development and assessment tools The ability to coach and challenge senior leaders while earning credibility throughout the organization Experience influencing change without relying solely on title or authority A practical, business-minded approach to People strategy Experience connecting talent initiatives to measurable business outcomes A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field Preference for experience in Agriculture, AgriBusiness or related field Why This Opportunity Stands Out People aren't simply an HR initiative here—they are a priority driven from the CEO down. Training, development, and growth are already ingrained in the organization, and this leader will have the opportunity to take that commitment to another level across a large and growing operation. The culture is collaborative, competitive, grounded, and decidedly un-corporate. Jeans and boots fit right in. If you're an accomplished People leader who wants to move beyond administering HR and have a genuine hand in building the next generation of leaders for a growing organization, this is the kind of opportunity that doesn't come along often.
