Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our organization's human resources functions and cultivate a thriving, engaged workforce. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement comprehensive human resource strategies aligned with our education goals, foster a positive organizational culture, and ensure compliance with employment laws, state statues, board policies and regulations. Your leadership will drive talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational effectiveness, empowering our teams to excel and innovate. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned human resources professional to make a significant impact. Responsibilities 1. Manages the daily operations of the Human Resources Department; 2. Keeps abreast of new theories, trends, and practice pertaining to grievance, legal matters, conflict resolution, suspension and leaves of absence, and termination; 3. Interprets federal and state law, administrative rules, and Board policy relating to employer/employee relations and advise, direct, and assist, as necessary, in their implementation; 4. Interprets district policies, practices, and procedures to administrators, teachers, classified staff, and applicants; 5. Develops personnel policy proposals and recommendations; 6. Conducts analyses for district and state reports; 7. Files reports in a timely manner, seeking Board approval when appropriate; 8. Manages all personnel actions, assignments, transfers, reassignments, promotions, demotions, and dismissals of personnel; 9. Manages and maintains the record-keeping for a system of performance evaluation for employees; 10. Provides leadership and professional development for the Human Resources Department staff; 11. Ensures District compliance with all Federal and State legislation pertaining to human resources and employment matters; 12. ADMINISTRATIVE FLSA
Status - Exempt 13. Oversees the processing and annual distribution of Certified contracts and classified letters of employment; 14. Reviews and verifies ISEE data as it relates to personnel information; 15. Reviews and verifies teacher certifications and teaching assignments. Submits required forms and alternative authorization applications to comply with Idaho certification requirements. 16. Drafts written communications with regard to human resources and employment matters; 17. Validates salary and class placement of new employees; 18. Plans, organizes, and implements programs and special projects, as directed; 19. Participates as a representative of the District during employer/employee contract negotiations; 20. Participates on committees, as directed; 21. Attends and participates in conferences Experience 1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, or PHR Certification, or relative experience in an educational facility or school district; 2. Knowledge of the operations of school district educational and administrative functions 3. Knowledge and experience in the Idaho ISEE reporting process and requirements 4. Knowledge and experience in the Idaho teacher certification process and requirements 5. Familiarity with policies and laws which impact employer/employee relations 6. Strong leadership and communication skills 7. Ability to assemble and analyze data and make appropriate recommendations to school officials, and the Board 8. Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
Pay:
$66,117.42 - $103,593.14 per year
