We're looking for a Chicago-based, strategic, business-minded Director of Human Resources - Commercial who is passionate about developing leaders, building high-performing teams, and driving business results through people. This is more than an HR leadership role—it's an opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, influence organizational strategy, and help shape the future of our commercial organization. As the strategic HR partner to our Commercial Leadership Team (headquartered in Birmingham, Michigan) , you'll work directly with senior leaders across Sales, Key Accounts, and Commercial Operations to align talent strategy with revenue growth, customer success, and organizational performance.

What You'll Do:
Serve as the primary HR advisor to Commercial leadership. Partner with executives to align talent strategy with revenue growth and commercial objectives. Coach senior leaders on leadership effectiveness, succession planning, and team performance. Drive performance management and leadership accountability. Support workforce planning, organizational design, and compensation strategies. Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives. Guide complex employee relations matters while partnering with Legal and HR Operations. Build trusted relationships with executive leaders and participate in key business reviews.
What You'll Bring:
10+ years of progressive HR experience supporting senior executives, commercial organizations, or sales leadership. Success influencing executive stakeholders and leading organizational change. Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategy to business performance. Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Ability to travel as needed to support the team primarily located in Birmingham, Michigan.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting field sales organizations or multi-site operations. Advanced degree or MBA. Experience in manufacturing, packaging, industrial, or other B2B environments.
