HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Morton, IL | Administration Description $79,500 to $117,460 Salary Based on Experience, Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, 401K, Profit Sharing Parker Fabrication Inc. is a growing metal fabrication company with approximately 90 employees. We are seeking a seasoned HR Manager to oversee all aspects of personnel management. Acting as the primary link between management and employees, this role will be involved with all events in the employee cycle. This is an office-based position typically operating during first shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday thru Friday); however, flexibility may be required to attend off-site meetings, off-shift meetings, or events. The ideal candidate will use in-depth knowledge of labor law, benefits, and HR best practices to support our company's growth and stability.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with organizational goals Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives Maintain an integral role in payroll Manage employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations Maintain and update HR policies and procedures Utilize and help develop HRIS systems (such as Paylocity), to manage employee data and HR processes Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Provide guidance to management related to employee issues when they arise Develop training programs and deliver training when required Develop and maintain the organization's compensation plan, analyze trends, and recommend competitive programs Organize benefit programs and ensure staff are educated and trained on the benefits provided Supervise and develop support staff to ensure HR goals are met
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the
CFO. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises HR support staff, coordinates with specialists, assists supervisors in general administration of all staff.
Requirements:
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is required. Master's degree and SHRM Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
5-8 years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in a leadership capacity HR metrics Data analysis Leave administration Benefits Training Employee engagement Strategic planning Safety standards and workers' compensation Professional certification like SHRM-CP or
SHRM-SCP
is beneficial Experience and ability in privately keeping trade, vendor, and employee confidential information Experienced and proficient with presentation software and techniques
SKILLS / ABILITIES
SHRM certification preferred Executive-level HR leadership experience Ability to work independently and within a group setting Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP systems Ability to manage complex, confidential issues with sound judgment Deep understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and guidance to a diverse group of employees Prior experience conducting benefit programs, training programs Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
