Position Overview:
The Human Resources Manager serves as the company's sole HR leader, supporting approximately 100 employees across multiple office and project locations. This is a highly visible role that partners directly with executive leadership to drive HR strategy, ensure compliance, support organizational growth, and foster a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be able to regularly travel between and work from both our Glasgow and Bowling Green offices.
What You'll Do:
As the Human Resources Manager, you will: Lead all areas of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and organizational development. Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies while building and improving HR processes, systems, policies, and programs that support company growth and employee experience. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding new employees. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on performance, employee relations, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain HR policies and procedures. Coordinate OSHA recordkeeping, unemployment claims, HR audits, and employment documentation. Assist with weekly payroll administration by reviewing and verifying employee data, including paid time off (PTO), per diem payments, and other payroll-related changes; import payroll data files, validate payroll uploads for accuracy, and coordinate corrections to support timely and accurate payroll processing. (Approx. 2 hours per week) Develop, update, and maintain company policies, employee handbook materials, and HR communications to ensure alignment with business needs and employment regulations. Maintain HRIS data and develop HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics to provide insights and recommendations that improve organizational effectiveness. Develop employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee and leadership development programs that strengthen capabilities, engagement, and retention. Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, leave programs, and workers' compensation while partnering with employees and vendors to ensure a positive benefits experience.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Five or more years of progressive Human Resources experience. Experience managing multiple HR disciplines, including recruiting, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and performance management. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to travel between our Glasgow and Bowling Green Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting a multi-location workforce. Construction industry experience. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification. Why Alliance?
