THE JOB OF HUMAN RESOURCES PARTNER
The HR Business Partner is a key member of the management of our company and is responsible for fundamentals of hiring, leading, and assisting the workforce at LRT. The HR business partner collaborates with department heads and executives to enhance workforce planning, improve employee engagement, and facilitate effective change management. They serve as a link between HR and the business, helping leadership to make informed decisions about talent development, team performance, and company culture.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Staffing:
Efficiently manage the flow of employees, ensuring that the company is adequately staffed with skilled workers. This includes forecasting labor needs, sourcing candidates, conducting and scheduling interviews, and executing hiring processes.Onboarding:
Continue to develop and improve a strategic onboarding plan for new hires. Prepare new employees' workstations and organize orientation day. Work with other members of the management team to ensure new employees make a smooth transition into the company. Understand and coach new employees on their benefits, compensation and schedule. Ensure new employees are properly set up into Paycom and know how to operate the software as necessary.Training and Development:
Organize training programs for skill enhancement, company updates and benefit changes as needed.Payroll:
Act as a point of contact and liaison for our Paycom Software.Calculate employee wages and salaries; including prevailing wages and overtime. Manage and review deductions for accuracy and update as necessary. Run and provide payroll reports on a weekly basis. Enter payroll journal entries into QuickBooks.
Benefits Administration :
Manage employee benefits, such as health, vision and dental insurance, retirement plans, profit sharing, and paid time off. Review, process and enter bill payments for benefits regularly. Act as a point of contact for the company between employees and 3rd party benefit representatives and update benefit plans as needed.Legal & Government Compliance :
Review and manage PFML and unemployment requests in a timely manner. Ensure the company is compliant with existing HR and payroll laws.Employee Relations:
Manage the overall workplace environment. This includes resolving conflicts, handling employee grievances, and creating policies that foster a positive and productive work culture.Performance Management:
Constructing accurate job descriptions, setting clear performance standards, and assisting in evaluating employee performance regularly. Keep record of reviews, raises and bonuses in organized and standardized manner.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in prior Human Resources role.
- Knowledge of Paycom Software and/or QuickBooks is preferred.
- Understanding federal and state labor laws that regulate minimum wage, overtime pay, employment discrimination, and workers' compensation. In the U.S., this includes compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Organizational Development is preferred.
- Professional credentials: SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) or PHR (Professional in Human Resources) is preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The company pays competitive salaries with discretionary bonuses. The company also provides paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, healthcare, dental and a 401K plan with discretionary profit sharing. This is a full-time, exempt position. The position is in-person and works out of the Leominster, MA office.Pay:
$90,000.00- $110,000.
