Compensation :
$95,000 - $110,000 Annually UFA ( https://www.ufainc.com/) is the world's premier developer of high-tech Air Traffic Control simulation systems and training tools that are used worldwide by air navigation service providers, military organizations, universities, and airports. Our virtual systems provide digital tools outside the traditional classroom that support the complete training cycle, and our products include Cloud based and VR enhanced solutions. The company's global work force of over 160 employees are based in offices in Maryland, Massachusetts, Germany, Canada, and Singapore. The ideal candidate will have experience with HR best practices and have direct responsibility for key HR functions while partnering with the senior leadership team to position UFA for continued success.
Position Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day human resources operations for North America Operations . This role ensures that HR processes are efficient, compliant, and supportive of employees, while partnering with leadership to execute people-related initiatives. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and supporting a growing, global workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Compliance Manage and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook Ensure compliance with employment laws Oversee employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, documentation) Maintain HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits platforms) Compensation & Benefits Administration Administer compensation programs, including merit increases Manage benefits enrollments and vendor relationships for medical, dental, vision, 401k, HSA and FSA plans Manage 401k plan and administration Manage bi-monthly ADP payroll for approximately 65 staff Recruitment & Onboarding Manage full-cycle recruiting for open roles Coordinate interview processes and candidate experience Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires Performance Management Support Administer performance review cycles and tools Track completion and support managers in execution Employee Relations Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns Support managers with performance management and employee relations matters Assist in investigations and resolution of workplace issues HR Systems & Process Improvement Maintain and optimize HR systems Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows and documentation
Skills/Qualifications:
5-7+ years of HR and Payroll experience in a generalist or HR Manager role with a company of similar size Strong knowledge of HR operations and employment law Experience supporting multi-state and/or international teams preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Experience with ADP, NetSuite, Monday.com or similar tools
