Job Description

The Business Office & Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the business office and HR functions within an ICF/IID facility serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex medical needs. This position ensures the organization's financial and administrative processes run smoothly while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. The Manager leads recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and office operations to support a respectful, efficient, and mission-driven workplace. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office software Basic bookkeeping and accounts payable knowledge Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities Must pass Maine State and criminal background checks Lead the full employee life cycle: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding and offboarding Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with all regulations Administer employee benefits, FMLA, and worker's compensation programs Ensure compliance with employment laws, OSHA, and EEOC reporting requirements Manage all aspects of payroll Maintain organizational licenses and insurance renewals Oversee distribution of mail, phone coverage, and general office communication systems Participate actively in Department Leader and management meetings Represent the organization professionally with vendors, partners, and external agencies Perform other duties as assigned by the
