We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a manufacturing operation through a contract assignment. This is an ONSITE contract role in Northern Maine, Mars Hill, ME. This position will lead core HR activities that help maintain a productive workplace, including employee relations, benefits support, onboarding, payroll coordination, and day-to-day administration. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can balance compliance, employee support, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily human resources operations and provide consistent support to employees and site leadership across the manufacturing facility. Guide employee relations matters by addressing workplace concerns, supporting investigations, and helping managers resolve issues fairly and effectively. Administer benefit programs, answer employee questions, and coordinate enrollments, updates, and related documentation. Manage onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a smooth start, complete paperwork, and alignment with company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS platforms and support data integrity, reporting, and routine system updates. Partner with payroll contacts to review employee changes, verify information, and help ensure timely and accurate pay processing. Support HR administration tasks such as policy communication, personnel file maintenance, compliance tracking, and workforce documentation. Work closely with site leadership to align HR practices with operational needs and foster a positive, accountable work environment. At least 5 years of human resources experience, including responsibility for employee relations and HR administration. Background supporting HR functions within a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of benefits administration, employee onboarding, and payroll processes. Experience using HRIS systems to manage employee data and produce accurate records. Strong understanding of employment practices, confidentiality standards, and workplace compliance expectations. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a fast-moving operational setting.
