Job Description

Join our staff and make a real difference at Women's Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM). The Human Resource Manager is responsible for employee and volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and engagement, as well as record management, benefit administration, HR compliance, and reporting. The HR manager serves as a key point of contact for employees and volunteers, ensuring smooth, supportive, and compliant HR processes. This is a full-time, in-person position at our main office in Petoskey. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance $25,000 life insurance policy Short-Term Disability at no cost to employee Paid time off plus 10 paid holidays 401(k) profit sharing with no match requirement (after one year) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost to the employee The ideal candidate will: Have direct knowledge and experience in Human Resources, HR practices, employment laws, and FMLA administration Be a self-starter with strong organizational skills Demonstrate professionalism and interpersonal effectiveness Maintain a high level of confidentiality Be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities Contribute positively to a healthy, supportive workplace culture A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in a dedicated Human Resource role. Office management and supervision preferred. Pay is commensurate with experience.
