Job Description

Murray County is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee the County's human resource functions. This position is responsible for employee relations, labor relations, benefits administration, policy development, compliance, and overall HR operations. The Human Resources Manager provides both strategic guidance and day-to-day support to promote a fair, consistent, and legally compliant workplace across all County departments. This position works closely with the County Coordinator, County Board, department heads, and employees to ensure HR practices align with County priorities and support the organization's overall operations. While this position reports administratively to the County Coordinator, the Human Resources Manager maintains independent professional responsibility for human resource practices, compliance, and consistency throughout the organization. Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, including employee relations and labor relations. Public sector and/or union experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Desired Qualifications:
Four-year degree in human resources, business management or public administration. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification. Experience in public sector or union environment.
Salary Range:
$39.29- $51.07 per hour
