Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of HR policies, procedures, and employee documentation to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Review employment practices to help ensure alignment with applicable regulations, including wage and hour rules, worker classification, leave administration, and I-9 requirements.
- Analyze handbook content, hiring practices, and performance management approaches, then recommend updates that reduce risk and improve consistency.
- Examine the current workforce structure, staffing approach, and use of contract labor to identify opportunities for better workforce planning.
- Develop recommendations to strengthen recruiting, onboarding, retention, and long-term talent planning in support of business needs.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to leadership, including coaching for a Sales Manager moving into a Director-level position.
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, organizational challenges, leadership effectiveness, and change-related initiatives.
- Assess HR operations, reporting capabilities, and overall process efficiency, then propose practical best practices that balance compliance with business performance.
