Tweet Share on Facebook Share on LinkedIn Apply Now Job Description Responsibilities Altec is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner - 3rd Shift to serve as the primary HR leader and decision-maker during off-shift operations. This role provides full HR partnership to night shift leadership and associates, ensuring consistent application of policies, strong employee relations support, and effective execution of HR processes. This position requires a high level of independence, sound judgment, and accountability, serving as the central HR presence when day-shift resources are not available. What You'll Do Primary Shift Ownership Serve as the lead HR presence on 3rd shift, owning all HR-related matters during off-hours Independently manage employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution Ensure consistent and compliant application of HR policies across all shifts Act as a trusted advisor to operations leadership during night shift Employee Relations & Investigations Conduct and document thorough, objective investigations Manage corrective action processes with neutrality and consistency Resolve workplace concerns while maintaining compliance with company policy and employment laws Decision-Making & Execution Make timely, independent decisions with limited supervision Handle complex or ambiguous situations with sound judgment Execute HR processes including performance management, documentation, and compliance activities Workforce & Operational Support Support workforce planning insights including: Staffing levels Attendance trends Seniority and shift dynamics Partner with leadership to address workforce challenges and improve retention Communication & Alignment Maintain clear, thorough documentation of all HR actions Ensure seamless communication across shifts to align with HR and site leadership Share updates related to policies, programs, and associate support resources HR Administration Support payroll/timekeeping processes as needed Ensure completion of exit processes and documentation Contribute to HR reporting and compliance requirements What Makes This Role Unique Full ownership of HR for 3rd shift operations High level of autonomy and decision-making authority Opportunity to operate as a true HR Business Partner, not just transactional support Critical role in ensuring consistency and stability across shifts Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED One of the following: Bachelor's Degree (HR or related field) OR 4+ years of applicable HR experience Strong knowledge of: Employee relations and investigations Employment law and compliance HR systems and documentation practices Qualifications Preferred Bachelor's Degree plus 2+ years HR experience HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) Experience in a manufacturing or multi-shift environment •Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
