Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a highly capable and self-sufficient HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our human resources function. This is a standalone role responsible for building, executing, and continuously improving HR processes that support the organization's growth and culture. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, comfortable operating independently, and able to balance day-to-day HR operations with long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational and people-related matters Build scalable HR processes, SOP's, and policies from the ground up Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring Design and execute effective onboarding programs to ensure employee success Develop employer branding initiatives to attract top talent Employee Relations & Engagement Act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and resolve conflicts Performance Management & Development Design and oversee performance review processes Support managers in setting goals, providing feedback, and developing talent Identify training needs and implement learning and development programs Compensation & Benefits Manage compensation structures and ensure market competitiveness Administer employee benefits programs and vendor relationships Provide guidance on salary decisions, promotions, and incentives Compliance & HR Operations Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Maintain employee records and HR systems Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures Handle payroll coordination and audits (in partnership with finance or external providers if applicable) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience operating independently or in a standalone role Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Proven ability to build HR systems and processes from scratch Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills High level of discretion and professionalism Preferred Qualifications HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) Experience in a startup or small, fast-growing company Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems Key Attributes for Success Self-starter with a strong ownership mindset Comfortable wearing multiple hats and managing competing priorities Strategic thinker with strong execution skills Approachable and trusted by employees at all levels Benefits Competitive health insurance, retirement plans, vacation time, etc. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the upper management team No direct reports initially; responsible for building the HR function Why Join Us?
