The Employee Experience Business Partner is responsible for aligning Town objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The EEBP formulates partnerships across the Employee Experience function to deliver value-added service to management and employees. As a strategic advisor to department leaders, the EEBP provides comprehensive Human Resources support that aligns workforce strategies with the Town's mission, strategic goals, and public service objectives. The position partners with leadership to enhance organizational effectiveness, foster employee engagement, provide HR guidance, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. The EEBP works collaboratively with the Employee Experience team and business unit leadership to address employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, training, and organizational development needs. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Deputy Employee Experience Director. Duties and Responsibilities Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
Consults with line management, providing Employee Experience (EE) guidance.
Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the EE group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Works with the Talent Manager to provide performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provides EE policy guidance and interpretation.
Provides guidance and input on unit restructurings, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. Ten (10) years of experience in Human Resources. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a relevant field. Seven (7) years of Human Resources experience, preferably in the public sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
