Job Description

Job Summary The HR Manager is responsible for the full scope of Human Resources functions, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, workers compensation, employee engagement, off‑boarding, personnel records management, and HRIS administration. The HR Manager will also support department‑specific projects and contribute to initiatives that advance organizational and HR strategy. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Management - Full Spectrum HR Leadership Partner with Executive Leadership (President, VP of Operations, and Controller) to proactively anticipate and plan for business and organizational changes. Lead full‑cycle recruiting efforts: identify hiring needs, post positions, source candidates, conduct interviews, extend offers, and manage onboarding via ADP. Conduct engaging and structured new hire onboarding, including presentation of the New Hire Orientation materials. Administer employee benefits, including annual open enrollment, new hire enrollment, terminations, and invoice reconciliation. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees questions related to policies, benefits, leaves of absence, workers compensation, investigations, and pay‑related matters. Provide analytical reporting on headcount, overtime, compensation, and other metrics needed for leadership decision‑making. Conduct internal investigations when formal complaints or concerns are raised. Plan and execute employee appreciation and engagement events. Administer HR programs, including disability, workers compensation, and FMLA. Support employees throughout the claim process and track leave status and return‑to‑work details. Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files and electronic records within ADP. Partner with Finance HR/Payroll related matters, benefits reconciliation and temporary staffing agency billing. Manage the HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) to ensure all personnel changes, payroll updates, new hires, and terminations are accurately processed. Manage team member request, employment verifications, DOL unemployment responses, and state/federal requests.
Workers Compensation Management:
Work with team members, corp. HR, Safety and workers compensation carrier (Travelers) and manage claims to closure, minimizing lost time through effective return‑to‑work programs. Participate in HR Policy development and support implementation of new policies, initiatives, and employee engagement strategies in partnership with Corporate HR. Coordinate or conduct safety, compliance, and emergency response training as required. Support audits (HR, HRIS, Finance, 401k, ISO, and others). Contribute to a variety of HR and operational projects aligned with departmental and organizational goals. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities. Effective team player with strong collaboration skills. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment. Professional, resourceful, and positive demeanor. High level of integrity, ethics, and sound judgment. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
