$40-$60 per hour, based on experience About Us We are a growing Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a high-quality, patient-focused environment. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead our HR operations, support organizational growth, and ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards. Position Summary The Human Resources Director will oversee all aspects of human resources management while also supporting physician and provider credentialing activities for the surgery center. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and credentialing processes. This is an on-site position and requires daily presence in our West Orange office. Key ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Leadership Direct and manage all HR functions for the surgery center. Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans. Administer employee benefits, leave management, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims. Maintain personnel records and HR compliance documentation. Support employee engagement, training, and professional development initiatives. Partner with leadership to develop workforce planning and staffing strategies. Credentialing & Provider Enrollment Coordinate and manage credentialing and recredentialing for physicians and allied health professionals. Maintain provider credentialing files and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Process applications and renewals with commercial insurance carriers, Medicare, Medicaid, and facility credentialing organizations. Track provider licenses, DEA registrations, board certifications, malpractice insurance, and other required credentials. Serve as a liaison between providers, payers, credentialing organizations, and regulatory agencies. Ensure timely completion of credentialing and privileging requirements. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Ensure compliance with employment laws, OSHA, HIPAA, ASC regulations, and accreditation standards. Assist with audits, inspections, surveys, and accreditation readiness. Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee and provider information. QualificationsRequired Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources leadership experience. Healthcare experience is required. Experience working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center, hospital, surgical practice, medical group, or other healthcare setting. Credentialing experience required , including physician/provider credentialing and payer enrollment. Strong knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment laws. Experience managing employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance programs. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification. Experience with healthcare accreditation and regulatory standards. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
