Job Description

People Services Director We are looking for a dynamic People Services Director who will be instrumental in shaping the future of workforce management. This role presents a unique chance to lead strategic human resources initiatives that drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational success. About the Role As the People Services Director, you will work closely with the executive leadership team to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Acting as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, guiding workforce planning and development. Leading efforts to enhance employee engagement, retention, and culture transformation. Managing labor relations, including overseeing collective bargaining agreements and union negotiations. Offering expert advice on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations. Directing recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to fulfill organizational staffing needs. Ensuring adherence to employment laws, policies, and regulations. Analyzing workforce metrics to identify opportunities for operational enhancement. Developing and mentoring HR team members to promote a high-performance culture. Managing departmental budgets and HR expenditures. Qualifications Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
The following qualifications are necessary:
At least 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience. Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, compliance, and performance management. Experience advising senior leadership teams and overseeing HR operations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and lead organizational initiatives. Experience in supervising HR staff and managing employee relations matters. Previous experience in acute care hospital settings and union environments. HR certifications like SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are advantageous. Medical, dental, and vision coverage options. Financial protection plans including disability and life insurance.
