Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dynamic Human Resources professional for a Forestville Client. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape workforce strategies, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with employment laws. You will be instrumental in managing talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development to support our continued growth.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in Human Resources or similar experience in manufacturing setting; Knowledge of U.S. Department of Labor, State and Federal policies and regulations, Responsible for OSHA and Workers Compensation reporting; Ability to relate to employees and creatively use behavioral management skills to problem solve when dealing with employee issues; Ensures employee safety, welfare and company culture is adhered to. Public speaking skills; writing/editing skills; strong follow-up ability; exceptional organizational skills; computer experience necessary; ability to interact and advise upper management; maintain discretion and confidentiality.
Description of Duties:
  • Assists in determining and advising recruitment needs of the company; handles any Department of Labor issues (i.e. Unemployment Insurance);
  • Processes all hiring, terminations and layoffs and is liaison with temporary agencies;
  • Oversees employee relations; Researches and assists with insurance benefits/paperwork and new company policies;
  • Provides employment verification; coordinates State and Federal Paid and Unpaid Leaves and all paperwork associated.
  • Process all Time Off Requests; Maintains Time Clock System
  • Responds to employees' concerns/issues;
  • Facilitates employee communications; administers initial screening interviews of all applicants to the company; Coordinates and submits necessary paperwork for new hires; Provides orientation, personal protective equipment and initial training for new employees; Facilitates definition of training competence needs and achievement of employee job description responsibilities;
  • Ensures training and performance appraisals are effectively done in a timely manner; Maintains employee training records and schedules training sessions;
  • Participates in management review and reports in items related to his / her department.
  • Provides guidance as it pertains to Disciplinary Actions;
  • Ensures compliance with labor laws and employment standards
  • Facilitates company luncheons/celebrations for various occasions
  • Back ups Production Coordinator as it pertains to Customer Releases, Shipping Registers, Packing Slips, Bill of Ladings, FedEx and Advance Shipment Notices.
  • We are trying to transition this responsibility to another person, so this duty may not apply.
  • Must adhere to Safety Standards and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.
