This position works closely with Regional Leadership, Project Managers, field supervision, recruiting, payroll, safety, and corporate support teams to ensure workforce needs are met while supporting day-to-day operations.. This role serves as the primary HR resource for the region, providing guidance on employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, policy administration, compliance, onboarding, and employee development. This role helps identify workforce challenges early, supports operational leaders in resolving employee issues, and ensures HR processes align with the needs of the business. Responsibilities Responsibilities Lead Human Resources operations by serving as the primary HR contact for Regional Leadership, Project Managers, department managers, and field supervision. Support the CNY C6 Project with workforce planning, employee relations, and HR guidance. Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies, workforce planning, and staffing needs. Support employee onboarding, orientation, transfers, promotions, and offboarding activities. Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation. Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions while maintaining confidentiality. Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Safety, and other support departments to ensure employees receive timely and accurate support. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Review workforce trends, turnover, staffing needs, and employee concerns and recommend improvements when needed. Support leadership with organizational planning, workforce changes, and department restructuring as business needs evolve. Maintain HR records, reporting, and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in leadership meetings and provide HR support for operational planning and workforce initiatives. Travel to offices and project locations throughout Central New York as needed to support employees and operations. Promote a positive work environment that supports accountability, communication, safety, and employee engagement. Qualifications A 'get it done' attitude with the ability to take initiative, seek out and implement opportunities for improvement. Flexible and versatile; able to pivot in response to new laws, regulations, and/or needs of our ever-changing industry. Above average verbal and written communication Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, leave laws, benefit administration, compensation, organization development, employee relations, training and development. A creative and innovative approach to HR while demonstrating sound decision making abilities High level of analysis and interpretation required for problem solving Adaptable and able to scale with the needs of the organization. Ability to build relationships, work with teams and other divisions; and to coach and develop interpersonal and management skills Customer service oriented, providing excellent support to employees and external vendors. Independent judgment required to set goals and determine work methods. Computer-Saavy and comfortable navigating Microsoft Systems; experience with Timberline or Vista Viewpoint a plus. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or Organization Development and five (5) yrs experience. Ten (10)+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resource positions may be substituted. Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations or
