Job Description

Human Resource Manager Position Summary:
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Human Resources functions for a growing convenience store chain with 80 plus retail locations, warehouse, bakery and corporate office. This position oversees the daily operations fo the HR department and provides leadership and direction to the HR team, including a HR Generalist, HR Assistant, Payroll Administrator, and Recruiters. The Human Resource Manager partners closely with operations, and senior leadership to support company goals through effective recruiting, employee relations, compliance, payroll coordination, performance management, training, and workforce development. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive work culture while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices across all locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The list below contains tasks that are typically associated with the job. It is not all-inclusive and may vary. Human Resources Leadership Lead, supervise, and develop HR department team Serve as the primary HR resource for district managers, store managers and corporate leadership. Promote a positive, professional, and employee focused work environment. Assist senior leadership with organizational planning and workforce strategies. Recruitment & Staffing Oversee company-wide recruiting efforts for retail stores, food service, warehouse, bakery and corporate positions. Develop recruiting strategies to support staffing needs across all locations. Monitor hiring trends, turnover, staffing levels, and open positions. Ensure job postings, interviews, onboarding, and hiring practices are completed efficiently and consistently. Employee Relations Manage employee relations matters including investigations, coaching, corrective action, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation. Provide guidance to managers regarding employee performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace concerns. Ensure fair and consistent administration of company policies and procedures. Support employee engagement and retention initiatives. Compliance & Policy Administration Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, leave administration, harassment prevention, workplace safety, and employment documentation requirements. Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies and HR procedures. Payroll & Benefits Coordination Oversee payroll administration processes in partnership with Payroll Administrator. Ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely. Assist employees with benefit-related questions and coordinate benefit enrollments and changes. Reporting & HR Metrics Monitor and report on HR metrics including turnover, staffing levels, hiring progress, labor trends, and employee retention. Analyze workforce data and provide recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum 5 years Human Resource Management experience Experience supervising HR staff and managing multiple HR functions. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and recruiting platforms Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Multi-location retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred Ability to travel to store locations as needed
