Human Resources Manager

Full-Time Human Resources Manager Nicolozakes Trucking & Construction, Inc. , a family-owned company in Cambridge, Ohio, is celebrating 72 years in business and seeking a detail-focused Full-Time Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role requires strong HR experience, solid knowledge of HR regulations and best practices, and the ability to support a positive, safety-focused workplace What You'll Do Lead and coordinate HR processes and functions across the organization Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new-hire compliance Develop, lead, and support employee training initiatives Manage company safety programs, including compliance audits and safety training Maintain accurate, confidential HR files and safety documentation Administer benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, and 401(k) Manage Workers' Compensation claims and return-to-work procedures Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and other federal/state regulations Experience overseeing Hours of Service (HOS) compliance, driver qualification files, and routine safety audits. Lead policy development, handbook updates, and HR best practice initiatives Support employee relations, coaching supervisors, and guiding corrective action processes Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the company Assist with payroll processing What We're Looking For A minimum of 5 years Human Resources Management experience within either manufacturing, trucking or construction, including compliance and employee relations. Strong working knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEO) Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety requirements.
