Description:
American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Human Resources Manager for our Tiffin, OH location. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources. This is a plant based on-site position.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment for direct labor positions Conduct interviews, process background checks, employment authorizations and conduct new hire orientation Process weekly timekeeping and maintain attendance calendars Research and investigate employee issues or concerns, consults with management, and coordinate necessary action to bring appropriate resolution Review disciplinary action and termination documents, taking appropriate partners as necessary Maintain active and terminated personnel files Assist in Bureau of Workers Compensation Cases Provide support between employee and operations to approve weekly timesheets Coordinate and distribute reporting on labor and hiring to Management Other duties as assigned by
Management Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' Human Resources Manager role in a company with 150+ employees A bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant work experience will substitute 3 years working in a manufacturing environment Ability to multitask and self-motivation Excellent oral & written communications skills Fully computer literate including MS Office Suites, ATS experience and the ability to learn Paylocity within the first 30 days Professional attitude & demeanor with Management and employees Resourceful with ability to apply critical problem-solving skills Extremely detailed & organized Demonstrated knowledge of all office machines including copier/scanner, multi-line phone systems If you are interested in joining the American Plastics team and want to work in a fast-paced, progressive environment, we want to hear from you.
