Description:
We are seeking an experienced Director level People Business Partner to join our People team on a 12 month contract to support designated client groups in Canada. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who excels at execution, partnership, and delivery within established People frameworks. This is not a build from scratch role. The focus is on applying sound judgment, strong partnership, knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR legislation, and hands on execution to support leaders through ongoing business priorities, organizational change, and core People processes. What You'll Do Partner closely with senior leaders to provide practical, day to day People guidance aligned to business priorities. Support organizational changes such as restructures, role evolution, workforce transitions, and integration activities, ensuring compliance with Canadian employment law. Support core People programs including talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, and engagement actions. Partner with People Centers of Excellence to deploy existing programs and solutions effectively within the Canadian context. Use data and workforce insights to inform leadership decisions related to talent, engagement, and organizational health. Coach leaders on employee relations, performance, and people risk considerations. Build trusted relationships across the business and People team to enable timely, effective execution. What You Bring Deep experience as a People Business Partner / HR Director, ideally within technology, fin-tech, financial services, or complex matrixed organizations. Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR legislation. Proven experience supporting organizational change and advising senior leaders. Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver in a fast paced environment. Proven experience operating in a complex, highly matrixed environment across business leaders, functions, HR partners, and U.S. based stakeholders.
