Requirements, Education, and Experience 5 experience as a HR generalist or HR Manager. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer literate (proficient in MS Word, MS Excel) BS degree in HR Management or related field preferred Manufacturing experience preferred Preferred SPHR or PHR certification Duties and Responsibilities Direct all phases of the Human Resources function including recruitment, onboarding, performance & talent management, engagement and other related people initiatives or programs. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies Administer all employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, FMLA, vacation, paid leaves Investigate employee relations issues, including hotline reports, with focus on timely resolution. Maintain and administer any records or personnel files as required by state and federal laws. Maintain and analyze metrics related to absenteeism, retention, and other HR KPI's. Assist with processing biweekly payroll. Support and develop all direct reports. Participate in daily/weekly meetings, acting as point of contact and HR Business Partner. Additional duties as assigned by management. Leadership Attributes Superior Time Management Change agent focused on continuous improvement High emotional intelligence and self-awareness Ability to coach, mentor and develop underperforming employees or problematic behaviors Professional appearance to support his/her role as a managerial representative. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret financial statements, business trends, professional journals, regulatory laws, and policies & procedures. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Technical Skills Computer literacy (MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint) Proficient knowledge and application of HR laws and regulations Preferred Candidates will have experience with ADP and other HRIS's. Physical Demands Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear, sit and stand.
Vision requirements include:
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment can be, at times, loud.
