  • Full-time Overview The HR Manager is responsible for managing day to day human resources operations in support of the company's people strategy, operational goals, and safety culture.
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role serves as a key business partner to leaders and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll and timekeeping oversight, safety partnership, and organizational effectiveness. The HR Manager will identify and execute process improvement initiatives and manage HR-related projects to improve efficiencies and the employee experience. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in administering HR programs and driving continuous improvement across people operations. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive human resources strategies that support organizational objectives and promote a high-performance culture. Lead talent acquisition efforts by managing HR sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes utilizing ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) like iCIMS, Taleo, or Workday. Oversee employee orientation programs, performance management systems, and employee evaluation procedures to ensure continuous development and engagement. Administer benefits programs including health insurance, workers' compensation, and retirement plans using platforms such as ADP, Paychex, or Paylocity. Manage employee relations by addressing workplace conflicts through effective conflict management techniques and fostering open communication channels. Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, and affirmative action planning requirements across all HR activities. Coordinate training & development initiatives to enhance skills in areas such as HRIS (Human Resources Information System) management like Oracle HCM or SAP SuccessFactors and workforce management tools like Kronos or UltiPro. Lead organizational design projects and succession planning efforts to prepare for future leadership needs while supporting change management initiatives. Requirements Partner with the VP of HR and site leadership to execute people strategies with business and operational objectives Serve as an advisor to managers on performance management, employee development, and leadership effectiveness Support organizational design, workforce planning, and talent needs across the site Proven experience in human resources management with strong knowledge of human capital management practices and employment law. Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration. Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle
HCM, SAP
SuccessFactors, or UltiPro; proficiency in data collection and entry is essential. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with leadership teams and employees at all levels. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, and contract management is highly desirable. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities through effective change management strategies. Administrative experience with HR sourcing tools like Lever or iCIMS is preferred; familiarity with social media management for employer branding is a plus.
