This HR Department-of-One role serves as a trusted advisor to management, a facilitator of administrative processes, and a caring, visible point of contact for our 95 employees. Reporting to the President, this multi-faceted, on-site role blends traditional HR functions with every day, human-centric touchpoints. Because our needs shift with the business cycle, your responsibilities will vary by season, demanding both high empathy and attention to detail.
Primary responsibilities:
Advise executives on HR compliance, policy development and employee relations to align with organizational culture Administer leaves of absence according to federal, various state legal guidelines and company policy Coordinate open enrollment process Respond to employee benefits questions, troubleshoot benefits issues and escalate as needed Handle entire recruitment process to include drafting job ad, posting, resume screening, candidate screening interviews, offer, etc. Ensure ongoing employment law compliance across 12 states Handle new employee orientation and administration of onboarding/offboarding, performance reviews, COBRA Position located in Tigard, Oregon with in-office expectations 15 hours per week across 2-4 days (flexible schedule; occasionally scales up to 20 hours/week during recruitment) You Bring 5 years' experience in HR Generalist capacity, with 2+ years reporting to executive leadership 3+ years recruiting, ideally for technical positions Experience working in software development, business services or similar professional industry preferred Emotional intelligence, ability to build trusting relationships and positive rapport across entire organization to include executives, managers and staff Strong team working skills Strong technical skills utilizing HRIS (UKG Ready/GNSA), Microsoft Office - MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, Internet Demonstrated strong problem solving, decision making, analytical, organizational and leadership skills SHRM or HRCI certification preferred Bachelor's degree preferred We Offer A role in a professional setting where you will be well supported within an organization of high integrity, stability and intentional growth.
