Job Description:
The Director of Human Resources oversees the full range of human resources functions. This position supports employees and leadership by managing recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, training, workplace policies, compliance, safety and wellness programs, workers' compensation, and labor relations.
Responsibilities:
Manage recruitment activities, including screening, interviewing, testing, maintaining applicant and personnel records, and coordinating temporary staffing when needed. Coordinate new-hire orientation, explain policies and procedures, collect required payroll and benefit information, and ensure completion of employment documentation. Administer health, dental, vision, life insurance, and other employee benefits; assist employees with eligibility, applications, enrollment, and required documentation. Develop, review, interpret, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee/department head handbooks. Coordinate employee training and professional development opportunities and promote continued growth of the workforce. Monitor unemployment claims and coordinate documentation and legal review when appropriate. Manage workers' compensation and liability claims. Collect and maintain workforce information, including employee turnover and other HR metrics.
Education:
Not Specified Experience:
36 months College Degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience of 3-5 years with applicable manager or supervisor experience.
Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret HR related documents. Knowledge of prior HR software systems; Microsoft Office 365; PDF software; SharePoint sites. Ability to understand current contract, payroll, and benefit laws. Ability to keep all information confidential.
