Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support leadership and employees across key people-related initiatives in York, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position will serve as a trusted resource on employee relations, workplace concerns, policy application, and employment practices while helping leaders make thoughtful, data-informed decisions. The role is ideal for an HR specialist who can balance strategic partnership with hands-on support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Advise supervisors and department leaders on people practices, workplace policies, and compliance with employment regulations. Support employees and managers by addressing HR-related questions and providing practical guidance that strengthens engagement and operational effectiveness. Manage employee relations matters in collaboration with HR colleagues, working toward fair and timely resolution of workplace concerns. Lead reviews of complaints and conduct investigations involving conduct issues, escalating findings appropriately through management levels. Conduct separation discussions and prepare reporting that highlights turnover patterns and actionable workforce insights for leadership. Create and implement plans that help the organization remain aligned with applicable labor requirements and reporting expectations. Coordinate performance management activities, including review cycles, goal alignment, self-assessments, and manager feedback processes. Contribute to talent initiatives such as succession planning, employee development strategies, and hiring support for business-critical positions. Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders on compensation actions, including merit reviews, promotions, market-based adjustments, and pay-related decisions. Assess organizational risks and workforce gaps, then recommend HR solutions that support staffing needs and broader regional initiatives. At least 6 years of progressive experience in human resources, including business partner or generalist-level responsibilities. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; equivalent HR experience may be considered in place of a degree. Demonstrated background in employee relations, including workplace investigations and resolution of sensitive personnel issues. Working knowledge of HR policy interpretation, employment law, and compliance practices. Experience supporting performance management processes and coaching leaders at multiple organizational levels. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HR systems used for reporting, documentation, and workforce support. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism. High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
