Job Description

Assistant Director, Employer Relations and Placement Salary Range:
$125,400 - $156,700

Hybrid Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee recruitment and placement initiatives across multiple healthcare networks, with a focus on nursing homes and long-term care facilities. This role will manage recruitment teams, build employer partnerships, drive placement outcomes, and support workforce development strategies throughout the Bronx and Hudson Valley regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise recruitment managers and specialists to ensure coordinated hiring efforts. Manage daily recruitment operations and align activities with organizational workforce strategies. Partner with healthcare employers to understand staffing needs, manage job postings, and facilitate candidate referrals. Drive successful placements, reduce vacancy fill times, and enhance employer satisfaction. Collaborate with career services teams to support resume development, interview preparation, and job readiness initiatives. Coach, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a high-performing team environment. Track and analyze recruitment and placement metrics to support operational improvements and strategic decision-making. Support cross-functional initiatives and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of six (6) years of experience in talent acquisition, workforce development, or a related field. At least four (4) years of supervisory experience required. Strong leadership, project management, and multi-site team management experience. Knowledge of recruitment best practices and applicant tracking systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools. Experience within healthcare and/or unionized environments preferred. Knowledge of local labor markets and recruitment metrics. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Bilingual candidates (Spanish or French-Creole) are encouraged to apply.
Additional Requirement:
Candidates must have reliable personal transportation to travel within the Hudson Valley region to support employer site visits, stakeholder meetings, and related responsibilities. Mileage reimbursement is provided for work-related travel between sites, in accordance with organizational policy.
