Resume Position Overview Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President of Advancement , the Director of Advancement leads strategic communications, marketing, and fundraising efforts that support student success and institutional growth at Cascadia College. This role is part of the Advancement department, which includes Marketing & Communications and the Cascadia College Foundation. The Director oversees enrollment marketing campaigns, brand and marketing initiatives, event planning, and donor engagement. They develop and manage fundraising campaigns and cultivate donor relationships. The Director also collaborates across campus to support departments to elevate programs, services, and ultimately grow enrollment. As a Director of Advancement , it is expected that the following qualities will be demonstrated daily: a high degree of understanding and empathy for all students, faculty, staff and visitors, as well as the ability to encourage the inclusion of all voices in decision-making, promoting equity in all areas, and actively working against institutionalized norms of oppression against historically marginalized people.

Supervising Position:
Associate Vice President of Advancement Essential Duties Under the strategic vision of the Associate Vice President of Advancement, the Director will execute the following priorities: Fundraising & donor development: Cultivate and steward donor relationships Design and execute annual giving campaigns Identify and solicit major gifts Manage donor communications, acknowledgments, and impact reporting Maintain and oversee donor and constituent databases ensuring data accuracy and generating reports for fundraising, marketing, and strategic decision-making Event management: Oversee all event details including vendor coordination, logistics, promotion, and post-event evaluation
Marketing:
Create and manage content for Foundation newsletters, email campaigns, and social media Analyze engagement metrics and adjust tactics accordingly Enrollment campaigns: Collaborate with MarCom and outreach teams to develop targeted recruitment campaigns Manage messaging and materials that support student recruitment, retention, and program awareness Working collaboratively with departments across campus: Partner with faculty, staff, and leadership to align communications and initiatives Support cross-departmental projects and ensure consistent messaging across the institution Website support: Support the management of our website to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with brand standards and collaborate with stakeholders to improve user experience and functionality Alumni relations: Create strategies to engage with graduates of Cascadia College Performs other related duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.
Education & Experience Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in marketing, public relations, nonprofit management, or a related field Demonstrated 3-5 years experience in marketing, communications, or fundraising leadership Demonstrated commitment to and interest in diversity, equity and inclusion and the ability to support a multicultural workplace and educational environment Demonstrated commitment to and interest in diversity, equity and inclusion and the ability to support a multicultural workplace and educational environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree 3-5 Years experience developing and managing fundraising campaigns, cultivating donor relationships, and a demonstrated record of personally soliciting and closing major gifts 3-5 Years experience working in a within higher education, preferably within the Washington Community and Technical Colleges (CTC)Experience planning and executing large events Experience supervising and developing professional staff Experience managing and growing social media and digital communications platforms Ability to successfully communicate (written and orally) in a language in addition to
English Knowledge of:

Physical Work Environment Semi-Sedentary Work:
Involves staying in a stationary position to a significant degree. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. The College is currently in hybrid operations, with many assignments completed in an online environment during this time. Full-time employees are expected to be on-campus at least three (3) days per week with the option to work remotely for the remainder of their working days. This position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment and physically attend meetings both on and off campus and requires the ability to communicate in person or through appropriate means. Positions in this class typically require operating a computer, communicating, observing, and repetitive motions. This position involves exerting between 10-30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to transport, put, install, remove, or otherwise move objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
