Position details:
Full-time Exempt Schedule:
Monday•Friday | 8:00 am•5:00 pm | This is a Hybrid position working 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Salary:
$85,000.00•$105,000.00 / year
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required, Masters Degree preferred. 5+ years of HR experience with focus on employee relations and compliance Experience handling complex employee relations cases Experience managing leaves and workers' compensation Experience with HRIS systems; UKG preferred Strong knowledge of employment laws Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) Experience in nonprofit or behavioral health setting Experience in union environment
Essential Functions:
Employee Relations & Workplace Support Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including sensitive and complex workplace concerns Conduct and manage employee relations reviews, ensuring timely, fair, and well-documented outcomes Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective actions Meet with employees and managers to support conflict resolution and workplace solutions Promote a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to employee engagement Other duties as assigned Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Manage leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, PDL) and workers' compensation processes Support internal and external audits and regulatory reviews Maintain and update HR policies and procedures Ensure accurate and consistent documentation practices Other duties as assigned HRIS (UKG) & Data Management Serve as primary administrator for UKG, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity Manage employee data, workflows, and reporting Partner with Payroll and People and Culture teams for accurate processing Generate and analyze People and Culture metrics Identify opportunities for system and process improvements Other duties as assigned Organizational Partnership Partner with leadership to support employee experience and engagement Provide guidance on HR policies and best practices Support onboarding and offboarding processes Collaborate cross-functionally with departments Participate in organizational initiatives and projects Other duties as assigned
