Job Description
Who We Are MSQC is a retailer founded in 2008 and the world's largest provider of pre-cut quilting fabric. We're part of a craft-first enterprise that also includes LoveCrafts—a global online marketplace for makers—and WEBS, a premier U.S. yarn retailer serving knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners. Together, we support a worldwide community of makers with quality supplies, inspiration, and joyful service, strengthened by our deep expertise in bringing high-quality fabrics to market. Guided by progressive and pragmatic people practices, we are continuing to evolve our HR function, building on strong existing capability while increasing our focus on proactive business partnership. This includes working closely with operations to navigate the realities of our retail environment and develop practical, long-term solutions that support our teams on the ground. The Opportunity Our Talent Partner is responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning support primarily across retail and warehouse functions. This role ensures MSQC attracts, hires, and retains the right people by managing full-cycle recruitment, maintaining strong talent pipelines, and partnering closely with managers to meet current and future staffing needs. Working as a key partner to operations and HR, the Talent Partner balances workforce planning with hands-on recruitment delivery in a scarcity-driven talent market. This includes forecasting hiring demand, managing targeted recruitment across a small number of concurrent, often hard-to-fill roles, and ensuring a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience. The role operates in a continuous sourcing environment requiring sustained pipeline development rather than reactive recruitment. The role also leads on employer branding initiatives and talent attraction efforts, using market insights, creative sourcing strategies, data, and modern selection methods to continuously improve sourcing effectiveness, hiring quality, and the overall candidate experience. What You'll Do Lead recruitment forecasting, planning, and execution across hourly roles and select corporate roles. Optimize the workforce—shifts, staffing models, and productivity—based on data and trends. Build pipelines and retention strategies; nurture internal mobility, leverage referrals, and cultivate future candidate pools focusing on creative sourcing strategies and innovative approaches to candidates attraction. Partner with Managers to deliver the Talent strategy and deliver a standout candidate experience. Partner with Managers to identify skills gaps, conduct Training Needs Analysis, and work closely with the broader HR team to develop solutions. Drive employer branding and talent marketing (local partnerships, social recruiting). Use
