PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for working as a business partner to efficiently administer Human Resource processes and activities for the organization to develop an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee development and retention.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Serve as a central contact and resource for employees, and other outside contacts for the HR Department. Recruit qualified applicants, complete initial interviews, schedule department interviews, conduct background checks, and process new hire paperwork Administration of HRIS ensuring that records are maintained, input timely and correctly entered for the following modules: time keeping system, employee performance, basic employee file, and employee benefits. Prepare and work with accounting to process biweekly payroll; review and ensure accuracy of approved time sheets for hourly employees; input and track garnishment orders, benefit deductions, and any other special payroll deductions Administration of employee benefit programs; medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and vacation accruals. Oversee all employee training and safety programs, take an active role on the Safety Committee, and maintain related records ensuring compliance Maintain relationships with staffing agencies, processing timecards, reviewing billing, and coordinating temporary employee schedules and assignments Assist in conducting employee investigations, providing conflict resolutions, and issuing coaching and counseling notices. Maintain accurate documentation for worker's compensation claims and all leaves of absence including medical, personal and Family Medical Leave Act leaves. Implement, and maintain employee recognition programs and events fostering increased retention rates, employee morale and overall job satisfaction Assist management in implementing strategic initiatives
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
5-10+ years' experience in Human Resources management Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or related field. MS/MBA degree in HR-related field a plus. Bi-Lingual Spanish and English preferred Requirements
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
Computer-savvy, able to work in the MS Office suite, and the ability to learn and use various software programs Strong capability in talent recruitment and maintaining a motivating environment Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and negotiation skills Ensure presence on manufacturing floor to foster employee relations and involvement Ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Maintain and adhere to strict confidentiality standards Demonstrated sound work ethic, honesty and moral character Strong supervisory and leadership skills Strategic outlook on building a strong organization
REQUIRED PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
Understand and interpret data while drawing logical conclusions based on available inputs Critical thinking skills in standardized situations as well as non-routine problems Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly
