Job Description:
Human Resources Business Partner The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of understanding about the business, its culture and its opportunities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Engages with respective business units to stay abreast of HR support needs. Collaborates with HR team at weekly meeting regarding business unit activities, issues or problem resolution. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies. Consults with line management and employees, providing HR guidance and interpretation in accordance with company established policies. Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains working knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Provides performance management guidance to line management as needed. Administers the on-boarding and off boarding processes and provides support to employees as needed. Assists in administering the company benefits program. Maintains employee files and employee status changes via the HRIS. Identifies training needs for business units and individual employees. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Talent or other similar HRIS a plus.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HRBP or HR Generalist resolving complex employee relations issues, overseeing employee leave processes, and benefit administration. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, training, coaching/mentoring, employee relations, performance management, federal, state and local employment and leave laws. Advanced experience with HRIS platforms and experience with platform implementation and transition. Bachelor's degree preferred. SHRM certification preferred.
