Job Description

Job Overview Capitol Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Manager to join our growing team in Spartanburg, SC. We are a family-owned commercial construction company specializing in grading, utilities, and concrete services. Since 2013, we have built our reputation on hard work, reliability, and strong relationships, both in the field and within our team. This is a full-time, in-office salaried position Monday through Friday. Salary will be based on experience. We are looking for someone who can step into the role quickly and become an important part of our day-to-day operations and company culture. Responsibilities Manage recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes Handle employee relations and HR support for field and office employees Maintain compliance with company policies and employment regulations Oversee
DOT/FMCSA
compliance and CDL driver qualification files Coordinate drug testing and related documentation Manage safety documentation and compliance records Process terminations and maintain accurate personnel records Administer E-Verify and I-9 documentation Manage HRIS systems and employee data Assist with benefits administration and employee enrollment Maintain organized and confidential HR records Qualifications Previous HR management or HR generalist experience required Experience in construction or related industry strongly preferred Knowledge of
