Job Description
Cornerstone Retirement Community is a vibrant, faith-based senior living community dedicated to honoring and serving older adults as an expression of Christ's love. As a mission-driven, nonprofit organization serving the Texarkana area since 1996, we offer a full continuum of care, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, Health Care and Home Health services in a warm and welcoming environment. Cornerstone is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to support our team of more than 150 employees. As a part of the community's leadership team, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, helping cultivate a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and connected to our mission and values. You'll play a key role in onboarding, employee engagement, leadership coaching, and fostering a culture that makes Cornerstone a great place to work. The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and is supported by the VP of Human Resources in the corporate office. What You'll Do Collaborate with community leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and workforce development initiatives. Lead the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a welcoming, consistent, and engaging experience that sets employees up for long-term success. Ensure compliance with HR regulations, employment laws, and organizational policies. Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and development. Coordinate with corporate teams regarding payroll, benefits administration, safety programs, unemployment, and leave management. Lead employee recognition, appreciation, and culture-building initiatives that strengthen team member engagement. Partner with leaders to identify training and development opportunities that support employee growth and organizational success. 3+ years of experience in human resources management Strong Microsoft Office Skills Paycom experience a plus Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform HR decisions Why Cornerstone?
