We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to help lead and grow our team as we continue to fulfill our mission.POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Manager serves as a key member of the Foundation's leadership team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources strategy, operations, and compliance. This individual will partner closely with the Chief Operating Officer and department heads to build a strong organizational culture, attract and retain top talent, and ensure the Foundation operates in accordance with all applicable employment laws and best practices.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Recruitment & Staffing Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for all positions Manage the full-cycle hiring process including job postings, interviews, offers, and onboarding Partner with department managers to define staffing needs and position requirements Employee Relations & Culture Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned workplace culture Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on HR matters Investigate and resolve employee issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters Compliance & Policy Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with legal requirements Compensation & Benefits Oversee compensation structures, salary reviews, and benefits administration Manage relationships with benefits vendors and coordinate open enrollment Analyze compensation data to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity Performance & Development Design and administer performance review processes and goal-setting frameworks Identify training and professional development needs across the organization Support succession planning and leadership development initiativesQUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Thorough knowledge of employment law and HR best practices Proven experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) andMicrosoft Office Suite Preferred:
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, orSHRM-SCP
certification Experience working in a nonprofit, foundation, or mission-driven organization Familiarity with volunteer management and seasonal staffingCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS
