The Building People, LLC is seeking a dynamic People Strategy Lead to join our team and help shape the employee experience in our fast-growing organization. This role is designed for an HR professional with 5-10 years of experience who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and is passionate about building strong workplace cultures, supporting leaders, and developing high-performing teams. The People Strategy Lead serves as a strategic HR partner to leaders and employees, providing guidance on personnel matters, employee relations, performance management, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and workforce development initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring both hands-on HR expertise and strategic thinking to help address workforce challenges, strengthen manager effectiveness, improve retention, and foster a positive and accountable workplace culture. Experience supporting operational, facilities management, engineering, workplace services, property management, maintenance, construction, or other service-based organizations is highly valued. Key Responsibilities Partner with leadership to develop and implement people strategies that support business objectives, employee engagement, retention, and workforce effectiveness. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on personnel matters, employee relations concerns, workplace conflicts, performance issues, and policy interpretation. Conduct employee relations investigations and provide recommendations for resolution while ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance. Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, communication, employee engagement, performance management, and talent retention. Support performance management processes, including goal setting, employee development discussions, corrective actions, and performance improvement planning. Partner with leadership to proactively identify and address personnel risks, workforce concerns, retention challenges, and employee performance trends. Develop and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives that strengthen culture and improve the employee experience. Support organizational development and change management initiatives that enhance team effectiveness, collaboration, and accountability. Ensure consistent application of company policies, HR best practices, and employment regulations. Track HR metrics and workforce trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness. Required Experience & Skills 5-10 years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, organizational development, or HR business partnership. Strong knowledge of HR best practices across compliance, employee relations, performance management, and workforce effectiveness. Demonstrated experience managing complex personnel matters, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes. Experience advising leaders on personnel decisions, employee performance concerns, employee engagement, and retention strategies. Experience creating and implementing initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. Excellent communication, coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to also execute hands-on HR responsibilities. Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities. Preferred Experience & Skills Experience supporting operational, facilities management, engineering, workplace services, property management, maintenance, construction, or other service-based organizations. Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams and managers. Experience developing employee engagement, retention, and leadership development programs. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred. Experience utilizing HR technology platforms and workforce analytics tools. Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced, scaling environment.- Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
