Job Description
HR Manager The HR Manager serves as a key business partner leading various aspects of human resources with a strong focus on recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and HR operations. This role reports to the Director or People and Corporate Services and works closely with both leaders and employees to drive engagement, performance, and organizational success while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This is an onsite role located in Petersburg, VA. Key Responsibilities Lead full-cycle recruitment initiatives. Develop and facilitate manager and supervisor training programs. Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, employee relations, and workplace concerns. Support employee investigations and support conflict resolution efforts. Partner with operations leadership to support business objectives and workforce needs. Promote employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture. Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices. Utilize HR systems and workforce data to support decision-making and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations environment. Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and leadership development. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Office, and other HR technologies. Key SkillsCompetencies Independent self-starter with strong initiative and accountability.
