$47,500 - $52,500 per year Join Our Team We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Supervisor to support a fast-paced distribution center operation in Ruther Glen, Virginia. What You'll Do As the Human Resources Supervisor, you will serve as a key HR resource for employees and management while supervising daily HR activities and supporting the needs of the distribution center.
Key responsibilities include:
Partner with Distribution Center management on Human Resources matters and workforce needs Support recruiting and staffing for direct-hire and temporary employees Work closely with staffing agencies and onsite workforce partners Supervise and support the daily activities of HR staff Coordinate performance management processes and ensure expectations and timelines are followed Provide guidance to management and employees regarding workplace policies and personnel matters Investigate employee concerns, complaints, workplace conflicts, and employee relations matters Support payroll processing and benefits administration as needed Assist employees with general benefits questions and open enrollment Maintain accurate employee records, personnel changes, organizational charts, and HR documentation Ensure Form I-9 documentation is completed accurately and maintained appropriately Coordinate new-hire orientation and employee training Support unemployment claims, hearings, and required state documentation Assist with workers' compensation administration and workplace safety initiatives Conduct exit interviews, identify trends, and recommend improvements Monitor HR compliance and stay informed of applicable federal, state, and local employment law changes Help maintain effective communication between employees, HR, and management Support additional HR and operational initiatives as needed What We're Looking For 3+ years of hands-on Human Resources Generalist and/or HR supervisory experience Experience with recruiting and staffing, including direct-hire and temporary employees Experience supporting employee relations and workplace investigations Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration Experience with workers' compensation and workplace safety processes Strong knowledge of HR policies, documentation, and employment compliance Strong Microsoft Office skills with high proficiency in Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leadership at all levels Demonstrated ability to lead and support a diverse workforce Strong teamwork, judgment, professionalism, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Previous HR experience within a distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment Knowledge of distribution center operations Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills Work Environment This position supports an active distribution center operation and requires the ability to work comfortably in an environment with varying temperatures. The role may also involve extended periods working at a computer, walking throughout the facility, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting items weighing up to approximately 10 pounds.
